Our Vandy friends in Zermatt told us to check out Il Palio in Sienna on July 2. The festivities center around a horse race around the town plaza, featuring representatives from the different neighborhoods of the city. Awesome pagentry and people watching. And thanks to all the American girls screaming, we found out that Mel Gibson was in a window above us!

Ahh, Cinque Terre! 5 towns along the Italian Rivierra that you hike between. We intended to stay one day, but it was so beautiful, we stayed 3!
