The first stop of the journey was in Fengdu, the ghost city. Supposedly this city is where you go to be judged when you die. At a touristy temple atop the city, you can walk your journey into the afterlife and meet the characters who will judge you. Guarding the gate are Hem and Haw! |

This stone lists characterisics that you will possess
in your next life. You are supposed to close your eyes
and touch the stone; what you touch is what you get. I
missed the stone completely and hit the wall, so I guess
I'm a nothing next go around!
The more interesting part, as our guide Lilly explained, was that the stone was broken during the cultural revoulution, but the pieces were saved and put bck together. |
